Perimeter work

Well, in addition to the AN/PSR-1A, which should be here in the next day or two, I also managed to get a set of four TRC3A intrusion alarms for a mere $175. Thats a score. These’ll be just the ticket for when I want to sleep soundly at night without worrying about someone tip-toeing across the property.

As it turns out, the TA-312 is a slightly improved version of the TA-34 field phone. The Canadians, it seems, are unloading a bunch of the 34’s and Im getting a few more. I’m almost a full-fledged phone company..all I need is a switchboard.

So, we’re got the perimeter intrusion angle covered. (Except for the actual wire..I need a couple spools of wire.) Doing okay on food, ammo, and first aid. Need to work on more nuts-n-bolt things…storage space, pre-positioned gear, etc, etc.

One angle I really wanna start working on is making a bicycle generator to recharge batteries. Id also like to work up some type of solar array to do the same. Thats going to require alot of research, not so much for the mechanical aspect but for the whole electronic angle…watts, amps, line loss, etc, etc. More stuff to learn….
