Very nice. I clicked on the pictures and they are just beautiful. The asking price isn’t too bad, either.

Good luck on this place – I saw it was two hours from Missoula, but if you have lived in the city a two hour commute isn’t unusual, I know some folks who work downtown and live way out west in Katy and they drive an hour and 45 minutes each way not counting dropping off the wee ones at daycare. I did a month and a half contract job for Enron Broadband Services(go ahead, laugh) back in late ’98 early ’99 and it took an hour twenty each way… So keep that in mind regarding the drive.

  2. WOW. Buyitbuyitbuyitbuyit.

I like how he says “The qualities of this place make it highly desirable for a variety of people: Architect, Photographer, Musician, Hunter, Athlete, Naturalist, Naturist.” That last would be me. If I bought that place I’d never get dressed. Woohooo! At least not on the days it was warm enough, which I suppose in Montana is practically never.

  3. Good question. I think that at this point its purchase would be more as a ‘vacation house’ or that sort of thing. A nice place to go to on weekends and an absolutely fantastic place to go to for hunting season. If an ISP did wind up leasing space on the antannae tower and provided complimentary fat pipe you could do some sort of internet-heavy business. On the other hand, perhaps the hamlets of Boulder and Whitehall need a gun shop. It’ll be looked into. As it stands it has some very nice features, not the least of which is the surrounded-on-three-sides by FS land….million acre backyard!

And shooting elk from the top of the tower…mmmmm!

  4. Maybe you could sell antique guns? Gun parts? As I understand it, this kind of gun business can still be conducted by mail.

  5. I’m taking the camera when we go see it. The guy who owns it lives in Texas, so he’s hooking us up with a local person to show us around. It’s on top of a mountain! I could rule the whole valley! 🙂

  6. Hmmm….given the height of the tower and the relatively treeless immediate areaa Ithink I’ll be doing okay with one of these in addition to having a few of these scattered along the avenues of approach.
