Democrats are upset because a Republican President is banning non-citizens from entering the country and carrying on like it’s some tremendous human rights violation, meanwhile they seem to conveniently forget the Democrat President who actually rounded up American citizens of a particular ethnicity and stuffed them into concentration* camps.

Obama used the same authority to denying entry to Iraqis and Carter used it with Iran!!!
If you want to prevent terrorist attacks, it strikes me as a fairly commonsense step to subject immigrants coming in from countries on the list of “State Sponsors of Terrorism” to heightened scrutiny. And to suspend entry of refugees from Syria (Syria is literally the second S in ISIS).
Will this disadvantage some good people from those countries? Of course! Not everyone from those countries is a terrorist. But as far as I know, no one has the irrevocable RIGHT to enter our country, other than US citizens.
Honestly, we should have this conversation as a nation. If we aren’t willing to minimally inconvenience a very small percentage of international travellers (it was less than 1% of travellers to the US this past weekend), in the name of reducing the risk of terrorism, we should just all give up and roll out the red carpet to the entire world for as long as that can last.

I agree with your point, but neither of those countries is on the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism created by the Obama administration, which Trump used as the basis for his Executive Action. Trump has stated his intent to add more countries to the list in the future.
the sauds and paks have very good intel and databases from which to vet said persons.
So first he trolls them with a list put together by Obamma. Then, once people are used to it, he adds countries. No big deal.

For the Open Borders people I always say: You put locks on the doors to your house for the same reason we need to put locks on the borders.
Only this weekend a “Open Borders type” was talking and I asked why should a county be any less secure then their car or home – guess what they did not get it.
