Capitol Friend/Foe firearm recognition

On closer inspection, a number of those pistols have reflective red-and-white striped tape on the sides of their slides. There is an established practice of marking guns in similar ways to help members of security forces quickly identify each other and prevent friendly fire incidents in a chaotic situation, especially when there might be one or more active shooters present brandishing their own weapons.

Interesting. Apparently there’s more to federal ‘same team’ identifiers than just the lapel pins. I would think it’s safe to assume that they have changed the color or pattern of those markings by now.

I recall one large metropolitan police force used to prohibit officers from carrying stainless/nickel guns off duty. The reasoning was that if you came across a situation you could be sure that the guy was not a cop if he was waving a ‘silver’ handgun around. And if you were an offduty cop who had his gun in hand when the uniformed officers arrived, you were less likely (though not certainly guaranteed) to be shot as a bad guy before you had time to scream “I’m on your side!”.

If you really want to hone your your super secret squirrel skills, next time you’re in an environment where theres a lot of ‘presence’, check for people that all seem to have something in common…. pins, buttons, armbands, particlar shoe colors, etc…might just be a unified group subtly showing recognition signs so that others of their like can identify them.

Anyway, an interesting little piece about last weeks excitement. Interesting read.

  1. Friend vs Foe

I recall an article where Massad Ayloob interviewed some Israelis who had been involved in big active shooter events (a decade or two before it was a big deal here). He was curious because they have police, military and various off duty/ armed folks.

The response was something like “if they were shooting women and children you shoot them.”

  2. LMI’s could have one brown shoe lace and one black. Then we would know who’s who. Antifa could go with one yellow one red, Proud boys both white. Cops would be blue, fire dept. both red. LBGT rainbow, etc.

I seem to remember the US Navy color codes the guys on the deck of carriers so they know who has what job.

  3. Just look for the arm band with Nasty Pelosi’s picture on it. That tells you they are part of her flying monkey Army. Like ANTIFA or BLM.

  4. IIRC the coloured tape on the gun thing was an Israeli invention, originally for airports, where the parking lot security guys were contractors, and there were a variety of other plainclothes from various agencies. Everyone would have the same colour, and it would be changed very frequently, like at least daily.

I also seem to remember that they also did the same with some of the uniformed guys, so as to make it harder for a terrorist with a stolen or fake uniform to get a way with it, since his weapon also had to have the colour of the day on it.

  5. So… you just added a to-do agenda item for your auxilliary support staff. The church ladies staff will have to dig out a bolt of off colored but subdued hue colored fabric, and throttle up the sewing machines to fabricate arm bands, hat bands, helmet bands, velcro backed patches etc. This is helpful to delineate those friendlies service workers amongst the mossy oak montage of apparel come spicy times. Now if those humanoid herds can just move in unison, with controlled directions, from a structured leadership, with clear objectives and exfiltrations, then success may be achievable, maybe. Stay frosty.

  6. Color codes will be irrelevant within bout 6-8 months. Once dipshit and kneepads take the big chairs and pelosivich and schumarski and the rest of the minions start start crowing their wares, we’ll all be running around naked, cause we won’t be able to afford clothes, having to give em all the the poor illegals wilst suppling them with what few jobs aren’t shipped off to chinklandistan for chinesium non functioning shit, and paying for the illegals housing while we live in the street. But it’s all well and good cause very soon we’ll all be living under the globalist empire, debt free of course….
This is the shit that scares me as so many fucking complete retards will buy into it 100 per cent…

  7. Excellent
    Common sense right?
but, it just never dawned on me.

    Lesson Learned.

    Curious
Now to go pa-roooze some pix of old.

  8. reminds me of the way some countries were described sending third rate conscripts into war. ‘…Take this gun, go to where the noise is and kill everyone not dressed like you…’

  9. WRT IFF, someone previously noticed an unusual number of coincidences involving antifa/blm provocateurs and someone nearby wearing orange, or with clearly visible orange on their person.

It was striking to me while looking at the pictures in this article, that, sure enough, there are people close, but not involved, with orange visible.

I note that it’s the kind of thing that would likely strike them as funny to use orange (orangemanbad!!) as an identifier.

  10. Even the French got this with the yellow vest movement that nearly toppled the .gov until the Ft. Detrick flu shut them down.
