I am amused that the mainstream media is aghast at Trumps suggestion to ban all Muslims from entering the the country. Unconstitutional actions taken against an entire group is the wrong response to the action of a miniscule portion of that group, they argue.
And then in the same breath the want to take guns away from the people who didn’t shoot anybody.

It is just fear over freedom. You are more likely to die from a shark then from a Muslim terrorists if you live in the United States. The freedoms Americans cherish are given to us by our Creator. Those rights belong to all men and all women. No one should take my guns and no one should prohibit my religious beliefs, the same holds true for your rights and your beliefs, and the same for some Muslim wanting to leave the country we broke.
he did’t say ban muslims forever, just until we can get our collective act together to be as safe as practical. letting them in with no vetting, no regulation, no tracking in the current situation is stupid. the only reason some founding fathers allowed a federal govt was for national security. there is no constitutional right to immigrate into the country period. it was set up to populate the western half of the continent in order to deny france, spain, and england the territory. it is an antiquated idea, one every other first world and many third world countries have done away with. want to move to mexico? you must learn the language, have a visible means of support and show that if that job or pension failed you would still be able to fend for yourself, have a sponsor that vouches for you under penalty of incarceration, and break the law they send you back in a heartbeat. our country’s wealth is finite. with every immigrant, legal or not, the pot gets further divided. why share it with people that hate us? i have known may muslims in my travels. almost married one, but too large a percentage mean to do us harm. they must, to be good muslims, to meet allah. the only radical muslims are the ones not tying to kill or convert us. the rest are just being muslims., as the koran dictates. i have studied it and consulted with scholars, not pulling this out of my ass. “christians spread the gospel via preaching, ministry. islam is spread at the tip of a sword”.
So, remind me again when did the constitution start applying to non U.S. citizens outside of U.S. territory? Trump’s suggestion comports precisely with long-enacted federal law. How unfortunate for those losing their minds over his latest comments. (And I’m no Trump fan.)
