Good news? He has “bigger fish to fry”.
Bad news? As you observed, his particular brand of sarc, rants, insights and teaching (see his first aid/medical kit posts. Gold!) are missed.

I also miss his rather sardonic wit and keen insights on the various levels of stupidity going on. Hope he comes back because his free ice cream was excellent.

I figured Filthie finally caught the guy and keeps him locked up in the basement to talk politics, military strategy and to see who can come up with the most nuclear farts given the same foodstuffs…

Aw, shucks.
Got together with BCE and a couple of his local blogfans, and we had some good Mexican food, and saw “Forbidden Planet” on the big screen.
Enjoying the break from the blog most of the time, as overall things are SSDD. Getting some ducks in a row regarding alternate locations, as you are.
Also spending time away from my usual stomping grounds, just for the helluvit.
Probably be back at things as normal as ever in a few weeks.
As my employer goes through a major-league meltdown. Not affecting my job, but yeesh, work is turning into a soap opera sh*t show. I’d retire early now, if only the turds running the Powerball would pick the right numbers. So I’m doing it the old-fashioned way, and getting rich slowly. What a PITA.
But the chances of me shutting up for very long are right around 0%.
