  1. Had a 10 inch octagon ( light ) barrel ,stock grips . It would bruise your hand for a week . 30 herritt was great ,just LOUD.

  2. A true’mice to moose’ versatile pistol. Beware of collecting those barrels, it can get out of hand very quickly.

  3. Always found these to be useful and attractive. However a rather niche pistol. The 45 colt/410 shotgun barrel is a really nice one to have, in my neck of the woods. South of Mason Dickson Line. They are great snake guns. Always wanted one but a little pricy where I live. Once upon a time the only short barrel that was legal to shoot shotgun, with out special license. In the snowy north a 44mag is a reasonable backup. Also found in 357 max. A good buy if at a reasonable price. In my opinion.

  4. You owe it to yourself to try .357 Mag. Truly fun in a Contender! I think you’re gonna fall in love with that pistol!

  5. Useful. I have one just like it. Not bad on recoil, at least compared to the .375 JDJ barrel that I have (save your money, four shots and you are done for the day). And yes, it is all too easy to collect barrels. I think I am up to nine.

I wonder when Bozo O’Rourke will call these “assault rifles”?

    • Yeah, the black furniture and vertical grip thingy with sharpened finger grips to punch cuts in people with this sawed off rifle will no doubt scare the ‘Baytoes’. This is just an updated single shot pistol carried by slave owners in the south …

  6. Totally off topic, but where does the artwork at the top of your main page come from? As much as I like reading your blog, I sometimes find myself refreshing the page just to see the different teotwawki art!

  7. Are you planning on scoping it or using it as is ? Or not sure yet. My limited experience with that (ymmv) – scope rimfire barrels (for more precision) and if you plan to hunt large game medium to far distances. Definitely scope if small varmint – vermin hunting is anticipated. Otherwise, irons will suffice.

  8. Commander Zero, if you save up your money you too will be able to afford a multi-shot pistol. By the way, do they make any of those for men? LOL I of course say this in jest, but after next weeks Canadian elections I could be “jest” about out of the gun owners game if the Liberals get back in. Enjoy your new toy. TTFN
