Sustainability by another name is…survivalism.

Man, I wish I could embed this rather than just have it as a link. Ronda Roussey, most recently of note for this:

Apparently has some mad prep skills as displayed in this Covid-panic-influenced video. Doesn’t hurt that she’s easy on the eyes, confident, and can take you to the ground in the blink of an eye.

Gotta admit, thats a pretty sweet setup

  1. Nice to hear that the Hollywood ‘cheese and chablis’ crowd is prepping, but I doubt they would survive the apocalypes without their daily Starbuks, Botox and strolls down Rodeo Drive.

  2. Totally unrealistic gun play obviously as in most action type flicks.

And as a former martial artist/ kickboxer I can tell you yes Rhonda is great- in her class, against other women. It’s so annoying to people who have actually fought in the ring or in actual street encounters that women beat up men. Never once did I see a woman take a guy out or beat him decisively in the ring or in the dojo. Woman have speed and great technique but raw physical power they don’t. And that is what lands blows, punches, kicks that actually take someone out. That is why there are weight classes in boxing and other martial tournaments. In fact I hated sparring with women because I always felt I had to let up and didn’t really want to beat them or hurt them.

But in todays woman are equal and can do anything men can do, and if you say otherwise you are a hater and a demeaning white chauvinist pig, you get movies that show them taking down guys like bowling pins at every turn. It’s bullshit and a fantasy lie. In my prime there is no way Roussey could have whipped on me in the ring, and I’m not trying to belittle hers martial skills. She is really good. But not against any even mediocre male kickboxer/MMA fighter.

  3. I remember a few years back that showed a firearms storage facility in one person’s basement. Initially the owner wasn’t named. It showed on large gun safe with many rifles and the upper shelf had over one hundred loaded magazines.
Later I saw the same picture and it was noted that it belonged to Hollywood actors and former NRA President the late Charlton. Heston. He was one of the best.
The Mountain Men with Brian Kieth is still one of my favorites. Sci-Fi movies like Omega Man and Soylent Green are still at the top of the list. I remember him playing Moses and Brigham Young. Along with John Wayne Heston was one of the true patriots when Hollywood made movies meant to entertain instead of indoctrinate. Will Penny was a great picture as well. Had a very fine supporting cast as well.
Too bad my generation will be the only ones to remember. After we’re gone. It’s hard to say.
