  1. Nice firearm, my friend. Perfect BBQ gun. Mine are several 1911s of various make. Don’t have any engraved ones but a few customs. Check out a nice ostrich skin holster for that bad boy. Enjoy!

  2. I’m not a fan of revolvers, having been a 1911 guy my entire adult life, but even my impoverished brain can recognize a piece of art.

That’ something to be very pleased with.

  3. Yes. Now run few boxes of ammo through it to take that “new, in the box”, “unfired”, new car smell off of it. Lest it become an over precious display piece or safe queen, never to see the rigors of regular BBQ events carry duty. F.W.I.W. I have used some flitz polish to brighten or high polish them up beyond that factory satin. A little more bling shine would go well with your custom made logo design or initials stamped holster. Go Pro with one’s kit so as to stay frosty at bbqs.

  4. That is a nice GP-100! I have a SS match in 10mm that shoots really well. Mine is however, a plain Jane. No engraving. Great purchase! Enjoy. TTFN

  5. there is one on gunbroker for $1200 buy it now price. Waiting for the wife to go to work, she doesn’t keep good track of her 401k balance.

  6. That is a very handsome firearm sir. I can see why you purchased it.

What holster are you planning on carrying it in ? Plain leather, basket weave or other pattern ? I always had a thing for basket weave holsters, Dad had a Lawrence Keith style holster for his Ruger Single-Six and it was classy.

    • Wasn’t luck, man…it was keeping an eye on Gunbroker for the last year, having he self-discipline to pass on the higher priced ones, and dumping a bunch of $10 F options when F rallied to $10.50 last week.

      • Amazing what a buttload of .gov cash can do in negotiations and pimp the market. Devaluing cash to hard assets personal finance for today
