  1. On the AN/PSR-1As make sure you wrap a piece of thick paper – like card stock – around the batteries before you put them in. If the case cuts through the covering of a modern d-cell it can short out.

  2. Yeah, I cant tell you how many times I heard that and thoguht “Ah, I’ll just be carefull putting them in’..five minutes later the whole unit is about 150 degrees of warm. So, yeah, wrap those suckers. I need to redo it to run off a 9v wall wart.

    the best intrusion systems include channeling intruders into free fire zones so the idiots can be nuetralized quickly. seismic systems fart in wet weather, become useless in frozen ground. try including trip flares or laser trips with such systems. claymores make a nice addition too.
