For those about to Glock……..

Having hit the Magic Number on Ruger P95DC pistols, I have now rung the bell on Glock 9mm’s.

$300, plus shipping,  off GunBroker. Excellent condition. Came with one stupid 10-rd mag but I have a couple hundred Glock mags so thats not a big deal.

Still gotta pad out the AR, 870, and 10/22 collection though. Halfway there on those.

  1. So, almost gunned up, but you write of night prowlers making probes of the neighbors. The suspect picked hers but he, or another, may make your domicile a project. Your priorities may be skewed. Location. Location. Location. Yeah, Yeah, I get it that you are all prepped for your own security but, “they” only have to get lucky once.

  2. What’s the “right” number? I’ve been restling with this question for a good while. Curious to know your thinking.

    • If you look you will notice the words (Magic Number) are a link, click on it and you can read his opinion of the number, since it is already posted and linked to it creates confusion when someone asks what it is, not to be insulting but its kinda like someone asking what something is when they are already holding it in their hand.

  3. Given how fast the economy seems to be circling the drain, hard assets may be the way to go. Probably going to see a bunch of people with no money trying to sell their stuff.

    • I have, on occasion, bought guns and gear from people who are getting divorced or facing hardship. I have always offered a fair price. Don’t need Karma coming back on me for screwing someone. I’ve been there when times get difficult and appreciated the fair shake….

  4. I very much agree with the idea of standardization. When you have a platform you’re comfortable with it makes sense to expand it. Cant go wrong with certain systems- Glock, 1911, Beretta 92, AR, AK, FAL, HK91, 10/22- just need to assess your needs/interests. Often the boomstick is the least expensive component of the system. Mags, ammo, spare parts, and glass for me seems to be the expensive part. Bottom line- if you are not comfortable with a particular firearm, get rid of that system.
