It just…happens

Crom hates me. I had to go buy some housewares and as I’m walking across he parking lot I think “Hmm..let me go check the used gun rack at the gun shop next door”. And thats when I saw this:

3Rd Gen (my fave), G19 with two factory mags, case, sights have been swapped out for the exact same set I just installed on my G17, G34 extended slide release, aftermarket recoil spring assy, decent stipling job on frame, and G34 extended mag release.

But, really, I was sold once I saw the price tag of $325.

I’ll probably put the factory mag release back in for something a tad less prone to getting accidentally released while carrying, but other than that….nice gun.

And all I was shopping for was a stupid mattress pad.

  1. Nice find! Great price!! I’m a big fan of the 19, carried one for duty (no uniform) for 15 years and just recently switched to the 19X. I’m also a fan of the 17! Can’t go wrong with a Glock….

    • Agreed – three and a half C-notes for a Glock 9mm with enhancements and extra magazine is shopping awesome.

  2. I put an extended mag release on my G27, as I use my trigger finger to press it, and the stock one had my finger running into the frame before I could reliably get the mag loose. I removed the lower front corner and smoothed the others. No idea how other people (righties) work it. I would have to turn it sideways to get it pressed with my right thumb, which seems terribly awkward and potentially fumble prone.

I think my slide release is a Lone Wolf. Slightly extended to allow a tiny shelf for a finger to press down. Works well, and doesn’t get in the way.

    Not ADD to it.
    It works for some!

  4. Dang that’s a good price. It’s $100 to $200 under market around here…

  5. A great price – I’d have gone for it too! I have only seen them that cheap as LE trade ins online, which have to have shipping and transfer fees added.

    • Yeah, but virtually all the LE trade ins these days are .40. While there are 9mm trade ins out there, they are not nearly as numerous as the .40s.

  6. Golf clap CZ, a good find. I am sure you have a good logistics line for spare parts and mags. Again, nice find.

  7. Notification just received by my local Glock dealer.

It’s BACK!!! Beginning May 28, and ending Nov 11, 2019. ALL Veterans with the listed requirements below will qualify for the Blue Label discount! From Glock:

In addition to the existing Blue Label Program, GLOCK is proud to partner with you to continue efforts to support those who go into harms way. The discount program will be available through LE Distributors and Sub-D Dealers from Memorial Day to Veterans Day to honorably discharged veterans.

A copy of the veteran’s DD Form 214 or valid VA card and Driver’s License can be used as credentials. If the state of residence for the purchaser includes veteran status on the Driver’s License, it can also be used as credentials.

I’ll be buying a G45 at the least. I’ve already seen how much they go for under this program. Just about $100 off. That’s enough to get my attention. And my money.
