The Glock 44 announced today…a .22 G19

Looks like Glock just put a big dent in the .22 conversion kit market by dropping the Glock 44 today….a .22LR Glock 19. This thing is going to be in so many firearms training programs it’s insane. I’ll take two…one with threaded barrel.

Im curious if it will have to be made in America due to import laws concerning .22 pistols. (If you didn’t know, ‘Saturday Night Special’ laws from the ’60s put some restrictions and requirements on imported .22 pistols.)

  1. The test unit was made in Georgia. I believe most Glocks sold in U.S. are manufactured in Georgia to address the ATF point system.

  2. I got an Advantage Arms kit (used…) about 14 years ago.
    So they’re late for me…
But as a standalone unit (unless one gets a spare frame for said Advantage) this might be neat.

  3. Holy Crap – this is huge !

I predict a very high sales price until production catches up with demand. If you are a ‘Glockaholic’, this sounds like the perfect training platform. How Glock kept this a secret should be studied by our government to do the same with government data.

    • If the Government can’t keep secret a President getting a Bl*w job in the White House, how could they keep data secret?
      Be serious!

  4. Charlie Zulu, I was just looking on the Marstar site(Canada) and they are selling them for $520.00 Cdn. If you convert to US$, I think they are free!!!!! I just might get one. I love my .22’s. TTFN

  5. I prefer S&W m&p over glocks. A couple years ago I bought their full size m&p .22 trainer. I shoot the crap out of it and love it. My wife and son have become much better shooters being able to put rounds down range with little to no recoil and the cheap cost or .22.

  6. My buddy, the local Merchant of Death™ and Glock Armorer, is getting two in and he’s selling them for $439. He talked to Glock and they said threaded barrels won’t be out till much later. That’s not to say that one of the many aftermarket companies won’t jump on that with both feet.
