Independence Day

I don’t want to be pedantic but….we celebrate Independence Day, not the fourth of July.

Now, having irritated many of you, I suggest you take that irritation to the range and go shoot some guns. Independence…whether its from other nations, people, ideas, or paradigms…does not come peacefully and without incident*. Be ready… emotionally ready, mentally ready, and physically ready.

“The price of freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness.”  ― Robert A. Heinlein

* = I cannot hear the phrase ‘without incident’ without thinking of this incident.

  1. when people tell me to have a happy 4th, i say “no, i’ll have a happy independence day though.” usually they look more embarrassed than annoyed.

  2. On my way out to the desert to check the site on a couple of ARs. Then back to the house to go out for a 30 mile bike ride to keep my fitness level up. Enjoy today as it may be the last Independence Day we will be able to celebrate, should the communists among us win through their continuing perfection of voter fraud. Stay safe and stay vigilant, spicy times are coming.

    • Yes sir, that may be true, they are continually working to overcome the rule of law under this Constitutional Republic and the principles for which h it stands. However they continually forget (or chose not to believe) that there are those who don’t have the time or inclination to “get involved”, and prefer to be left alone. When the time comes for those to pull up stakes and get involved, they will find themselves faced with “Voter Fraud Re-alignment Tools”, in multiple calibers used proficiently at various yardages….. We will keep our Republic – one way or another….

  3. That meme. My all time most favorite.

Happy Independence Day to all. (Especially my sister, who moved to the UK)

  4. The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly.

Have a safe Independence Day! ‘Murica!

  5. Happy Independence Day to all of you
This country was founded with the blood of our ancestors
If they want to take it from us make sure they bleed for it
    Lots and lots of blood
Head down, eyes open, moving forward
