Turkeyday

Today is Thanksgiving, which is, nominally, a day to give thanks. For me its a day to eat turkey. My life is a swirling dumpster fire of rage and pain, so I tend to not be thankful as much as I am vengeful. Nonetheless, I realize I’m in the minority on that sort of thing…so, for those of you who engage in the Norman-Rockwell-esque version of Thanksgiving, I say ‘enjoy’.

Following the holiday are the Black Friday Friday Of Color sales. I cannot imagine any vendor needs a holiday sale to get product moving in this Current Situation. Why would you mark your guns and ammo down for a holiday sale when you can double the price and have it fly out the door seven days a week? Still, I’ll go through the motions anyway because I’m always looking for a deal. Lemme know if you guys find any good deals that are actually in stock.

  1. Why so much rage and pain? Admittedly circumstances and events of 2020 are nothing to celebrate, but you need to strive to be a happy warrior and embrace the horror.

  2. Whether or not Trump’s court cases succeed, I remain forever grateful for what he has done: blowing up the political establishment.
Democrats actually think they ‘won’. They didn’t.
Their party is a fractured disaster, which will be on public display all too soon.
Sun Tzu’s dictum (don’t interrupt your enemy when he’s fucking up) is valid guidance. Some will want to defend blue-dog democrats when they fully realize what has happened to their party. Don’t do it. Let them kill each other.
    Happy Thanksgiving!

    • The 5-4 at the supreme court on NY and banning church worship is why we elected Trump. Just think if Hillary had won it would have been 6-3 in favor of the state violating the first amendment, the second would have been next for sure along with the other 8!!

  3. Hoffner knives- BOGO code BLACKFRIDAY hoffners.com. Good knives, part of edc. With the code the 2.8 and 3.5 inch knives are a good deal.

  4. Happy Thanksgiving, CZ! I hope 2021 is better for you than 2020. Your blog is one of the things I’m grateful for.

  5. Inbox was filled this morning with “black Friday” specials.
Sadly almost everyone of them were “outta-stock” by mid-morning.

  6. My life is a swirling dumpster fire of rage and pain, so I tend to not be thankful as much as I am vengeful.
I’m sorry you are dealing with these things, but I do enjoy your blog and I hope you can work through your issues.

  7. I can understand the swirling dumpster fire of rage and pain because that’s been my life since August.
I see gold/silver is taking a bit of a dive – to the metals people. Do you only buy the ASE or Canadian minted silver 1oz’s or just whatever is 99% silver rounds/bars from reputable places like APMEX and JM Bullion?

    • From my viewpoint, it depends on what your buying it for, investment rounds are fine, and little cheaper, because you’ll being selling based on the spot price.

If you thinking of barter in the future, SE will be more acceptable to people, because of the coinage.

    • See the story about a jeweler who bought a fake canadian mint bar directly from mint bank. Canadian mint as trustworthy as Chinese

  8. Looks like you subscribe to my motto. Do unto them before they can do unto you.
Some folks might think it’s not according to Hoyle but it’s better then waiting for them to ambush you. Besides these idiots need to learn that fear and defeat can run both ways. When given free reign by local and state governments these terrorist wannabees get so full of themselves they forget two crucial truths. They weren’t born bullet proof and they can’t run faster then 4800 feet per second.

  9. Wing Tactical has a Black Friday sale going on. I like Troy sights and they were marked down far enough to get me interested.

  10. Dear Commander, If your life is a “swirling dumpster fire of rage and pain” maybe you need a change. There are many who feel the same. You will not be alone. But if you really want to make them mad, smile, laugh and say Have a Nice Day. If you look for something to make you mad you shall find it. If you can read this, be thankful that you can. The Samurai were taught to always carry rouge. To put on a happy face. Even facing certain death. Let us rejoice and be glad. I am not one to give advice but if you smile others will wonder what you are thinking.
