For days of auld lang syne

Cancer, relationships, politics, economics, whatever…..They usually get worse before they  get better. Move deliberately and cautiously, like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs claymores.

2022 comes in like a homicidal KoolAid man………..

  1. The good news is that 2021 is now history. The bad news, as Joel pointed out over at TUAK blog, is that it’s 2022 which was the year Soylent Green was set in.

    Happy New Year…

  2. Soylent Green was a great flic… at the moment I’m watching “Don’t look up.” I know it’s a comedy but it’s so damn prescient that I can only watch a little at a time. How did we ever get to the present point in time where almost no one thinks…

    • Merry Streep is ‘president’. Heh.
That’s about as close as Hillary is ever going to get (praise the ‘Maker’).

    • Watched “Don’t look up” last night. Not really sure how to really rate it at this point! Somewhat an odd comedy to say the least.

  3. Oh, any thoughts on Station 11 over on HBO? Has anyone watched it yet? Read to book even?

  4. 2022 word of the year in response to practically everything – NO!
There, the oughta shut their yappers.

  5. “Don’t Look Up” surprised me 3/4 of the way in ( I’m slow like that ) by revealing itself to be a parody of Dirt People and Orange Jesus. Overall, not too bad for Netflix, but beware what they are trying to sell you.

      • Free phone on a family plan, free Netflix included with that. Result, I’m costing them money ( if it is true as I believe that they did that promotion to increase their numbers to sucker the stock buyers )
