The official story

It isn’t that I’m necessarily prone to conspiracy theories…but I am prone to being suspicious of the ‘official story’. Just for kicks, though…what if….you’re a government that became aware of an impending and immediate threat to, or involving, commercial aircraft? And you need time to get your assets in place to control the situation (or the people involved). Wouldn’t you just…ground all air traffic on a believable pretext, a computer error perhaps, and then take the opportunity to neutralize the threat while the planes are still on the ground?

Or, maybe, it really was just a computer hiccup.

In other news, I see the folks in Illinois now have to put up with another ‘do it for the children’/’If it saves just one life’ assault weapons ban. Anyone who lives in Illinois will tell you that Illinois didn’t vote for this thing…Chicago did. Regardless, I’ve no doubt this will be trumpeted as a ‘victory for commonsense reasonable gun safety advocates’. I’m telling you, guys…this sorta ting is creeping closer and closer to a national level. Buy your stuff now and don’t spare the purse.

Watching the news is always a good way for me to get my blood pressure up a few notches. Nice to see todays events didn’t disappoint.

  1. This is also a time to take stock of what you have and evaluate what accessories would be helpful to get while you still can. Cdr Z is correct to emphasize magazines, but I’m of a revolver guy and recently found that Starline had .45 auto rim brass back in stock and just received my order that will enable me to feed my S&W .45 acp revolvers. Did you know that HKS even makes speed loaders for .45 AR? I got three. Did you know that Hogue makes laser grips for 1911s and S&W revolvers similar to Crimson Trace but at almost half the price? I have a set inbound for my Ruger Night Guard .45 that already has night sights. I already have them on one Ruger 1911 and two K frames and am very satisfied with them. Need to stock up on more 2032 batteries for them, too.

I guess what I’m getting at is that one doesn’t have to go out and buy a bunch of new guns if you already have a basic set, but now may be our last reasonable period to get the accessories that can help us get the most out of each one. That would be especially helpful if one had to depart the current AO in a hurry with only a couple guns and the required ammo. Just some thoughts. Gray Fox

    • Correct gray fox. Whatever the gun selection one choses should also have a support pod type of accessories to enable that gun to be effectively deployed for field or duty usage. Not a safe queen with one magazine or so. Follow on kits of holsters, mag – speedloader pouches, duty/web belts, sights/lights/grips or basic non complex parts upgrades etc. I liken it as a grab and go set up fully equipped enough for a not coming back scenario, It can serve as well as a handout kit for new frens of your new sporty times pick up team. Thanks for that input.

  2. Just for the record. All the things that were put forward in the last 6+ years and labeled ” conspiracy theories” have all be proven true. From the Obama Regime spying on Trump to Hunter Biden’s lap top bring Russian disinformation.
I started being suspicious of the government after reading the fairy tale produced by the Warren Commission. Since then I have read and researched from that day in November of 63. I have a stop the presses special edition of the local paper and a memorial book put out by the same paper called ” Four Days”.
Pretty much everything I’ve read since and it’s been many many books. It has pointed me to one person and one motivation as to why Jack Kennedy came home from Dallas in a body bag.
Even at that young age I knew bullshit when I read it.
Other things gave begun to come out about Watergate. Including a recent release last fall from the personal files of Washington Times Editor and Chief Ben Bradley. I am convinced that the Watergate break in and subsequent investigation were a black operation run by members of the FBI and the CIA. It wasn’t the first time those two agencies had acted in unison to take out a sitting President. Nixon was 18 pts ahead of his opponent. Why would he chance a break in. By the way. LBJ spied on Barry Goldwater but that was just fine.
The individuals involved in the break in were all former operatives with CIA. A couple of whom had been involved with training the Libreta brigades of Cuban resistance fighters who landed at Bay of Pigs. E. Howard Hunt and Frank Sturgis. Both men were in Dallas on November 22, 1963. Both were arrested as Tramps up on the grassy knoll.
In the 1980s a House Committee dubbed ” The House Committee on Assassinations” was conviened to investigate the Kennedy and King murders.
More evidence was presented their that proved that 4 not 3 shots were fired that day from three different locations. Both the Warren Commission report and the House Committee on Assassinations report are still available in print.
I also believe the all three of the murders that shook the country in the 60s were at the orders of Lyndon Baines Johnson. Johnson was a decidedly evil man. The head agent of his Secret Service detail made the comment that if Johnson hadn’t been President he would have been confined to a mental hospital.
I guess I’m going the long way around the barn. But no. I don’t believe anything that the government. Or those who are of the government tell me. I do my own research and come to my own conclusions. Remember. These agencies are master’s of agitprop and propaganda. They control the narrative by controlling those in the media as the current revelations from Twitter have shown. So no. Don’t piss down my back and tell me it’s raining. Just consider the sick demented bastards on the left that circulate this horseshit. Look behind the curtain. You’ll be surprised at what you will find.

  3. You most probably already watched YouTuber Monkey Werx US
    SITREP 1.11.23 – GROUNDED!?
He watches aircraft in real time and commented that coincidentally the USA had a record number (52) of military re-fuelers up at the same time as the FAA incident. Inferring that we had a metric ton of fighters up. If you haven’t watched Monkey you are in for a treat.

  4. Commander:
Perhaps the people of Illinois should reply “I’m not going to let it happen to MY child – I’ll carry MY rifle!”
The snowflakes (and hopefully the thugs) would S*IT themselves…

    Ceejay

  5. 100% correct on Illinois, Chicago has been an ugly boil on our state for decades. Whatever suits them is forced upon the rest of us. Pritzker is obviously going to try and ride this one all the way to the White House… Once our family ties are put to rest here our exit will be swift.

  6. I too am suspicious about the shutdown being explained as precautionary, especially when news about Canada having the same issue almost immediately. Two countries having air traffic issues almost simultaneously – what are the odds on that happening ?

Easy to explain later that ‘we had to make emergency decisions without scaring the public unnecessarily (having airliners colliding with one another would raise some concerns).

  7. FOX news reported , this am, that Canada has the same system as the US, and had the same issue.
    They are not connected.

  8. never attribute incidents to guile or cunning when incompetence is the likely culprit. these bozos couldn’t stop an attack if the enemy marched up in full parade uniform and announced their intentions on loudspeaker. it was more likely another network snafu, like a janitor unplugged the server to plug in his hukka pipe than a terrorist attack. i’m sure the stop would have lasted more than an hour if it was a real threat. there were probably other reasons for the high military presence like extra surveillance on us domestic violent extremists at the shot show.

  9. Nothing would surprise me (military re-fueling planes and fighters, insane LBJ, the “grassy knoll”), but the FAA software maintenance issue does seem believable, based on working in the commercial software world for 30+ years. The FAA’s software is from the 70s, and maintaining it has got to be a nightmare – I’ve seen how seemingly minor changes in a “maintenance patch” have brought a Fortune 10 company to it’s knees instantly. Trying to maintain 65 year old software is a house of cards – that’s why all of the major commercial software providers (Microsoft, for example) drop support for anything that’s getting too old – it’s just too darn complex to maintain and adding any new functionality is fraught with peril, as we found out yesterday.

  10. IMHO the white house has been panicked on the classified document revelations. They had to do something to take the eyes of the news odd of them, so, presto, FAA grounding all aircraft due to a computer glitch? Ha, BULLSHIT!

  11. CZ,

That grounding scenario would make sense however from what I understood yesterday’s event only stooped planes from taking off, it did not ground planes already in the air.

  12. If you think the FAA equipment and software is outdated, you should see what’s in the sub basements of the Pentagon. Besides basic incompetence and unwillingness on the part of the career bureaucrats, the ancient equipment and software are part of the reason no one can or could audit the DoD accounts. I worked there for a couple of years and that was long enough ago that the total commie takeover hadn’t occurred. Even in the 90s, though, CNN was known in the hallways as the “Communist News Network”. Gray Fox

    • Last I read, the USAF Missile Command was still using 5-inch Floppy Disks to Program the Missiles… of course, those “Minuteman” systems are over 50 Years old now, so…

The last 20 Years and $20Trillion spent on Sandbox Wars, small arms Ammo, and Junk that doesn’t Work, (like the F-35 Pig) and the FUSSA is running out of Artillery Shells to send to the Grift House that is the Ukraine.

The Russian Military spent a fraction of that, and is fielding 200-Ton, Liquid-Fueled War Rockets (Sarmat) that carry a Dozen Nuke Shells that Swerve and Glide to the Target – can’t be Intercepted with anything other than a Laser Cannon (that the FUSSA doesn’t have). And Ramjet-Powered, Mach 5+ Cruise Missiles – one type is Nuclear Powered, Unlimited Range- It can be Launched South out of Russia, down over the South Pole, and up to the Southern US where there isn’t any Radar that could Spot them.

  13. CZ. Check the website ” Above Top Secret” . They have an article about the airline ” difficuties” .

  14. There’s one bright spot in our dear government’s mania. Remember when Obama bought up millions of rounds of .40 S&W ammo to arm his minions? Well, the minions went back to 9mm. Wonder where all that .40 ammo is stashed? Gray Fox
