Okay…so there’s a Barrett M82A1 on its way to me. The gun ships with one lonely magazine. As you may expect, extra mags are expensive. But, sometimes fortuna gives me a wink and a nod…..

So, I got eight more mags. If my life hits the stage where I’m laying prone somewhere needing 90 rounds of .50 BMG on hand….well….life just took a turn for the savage.

Seems you were looking for some H& K mags a bit back. Where those for the MP5 or clone. RTG has them on sale as I write this. $60 or there about. Steel mages.
Yeah, saw those. Still pretty painful for a simple 30-rd 9mm mag. Where’s Magpul when you need them?????
Keep an eye on Botach and Arms Unlimited for their sales on OEM HK MP5 mags. Last Black Friday sale, these were going for less than $50.

That will get the job done. I’m having trouble keeping up with my “normal” reloading, much less adding one of those beasts! I do own a Barrett though, a 6.8SPC REC-7 and it’s a pretty nice piece for what it is.
Time to double-up on the ear protection!

I have to say you never go half assed on anything mag related. You might own more mags for various firearms than any establishment short of a major distributor. I am duly impressed.
I hope you plan better than the guy in Rawles novel with a MacMillan 50… Of course, he took out 76 men and half a platoon of vehicles before he went!

That was a cautionary tale on why overhead cover and tunnelling out the back of the hole would’ve been wise, and not doing so in advance was lazy and short-sighted in a terminal way.

Took a long, long, long time to reach this point. And the irony is, unless the world comes to an end, this thing will spend 90% of its life in a Pelican case under my bed.
If you ever take it out in earnest, you’ll know how the guys in silos and on Trrident subs would feel when they get an EAM that says “This Is Not A Drill”.
