A real estate ad tailored to me

A friend sent me this and I thought it was worth sharing.

You can watch the world burn in perfect silence….no one will ever find you

Really, it isnt exactly what Im looking for (but pretty close, actually) however the marketing is pretty spot on for someone like me. “Sit on my porch and watch the world burn” is, literally, one of the phrases I use in describing what I’m looking for.

    • Physically perfect, politically a disaster.

The only things wrong with Washington State are Democrats, Socialists, Progressives, Communists and people who won’t support themselves but rather want to live off the efforts of others.

      But then I repeat myself.

      • Better to be led by the R side. You know the ones
        Manly men like lindsay graham
        Pure americans like rafael cruz
non couch humpers like jd vance or whatever name he is going by this week
or all the other pedo lovers who blocked release of the trump epstein files to protect their master
Face it your boy cankles mcpedo is a child rapist convicted felon.

  1. Fire must be taken into consideration or any dweeb with a bottle o’ gas can burn the place down, which is why the building materials need to be steel or masonry, throw in some shooting ports. Earth sheltered wouldn’t hurt either. Also, a cistern and escape tunnel.

  2. 30 acres, a good well, a 3 acre garden and the land is cleared far enough away so that a fire won’t hurt us. it took us 30 yrs to get here but it was worth all the effort.
    it doesn’t happen overnight folks.

  3. One must always consider – can I take raw land and make it into what I want within the timeframe of my life wherein I am physically able to do so. If you have not kept a few acres in good shape, you cannot know how fast things can get out of hand, overgrown, or just ruined by neglect.

Sometimes we must look for a turn-key option because we cannot meet the timeframe.

    • There are many examples of people over-estimating their abilities and finances. One can drive most anywhere and see ‘dreams turning into dust’. A home half-finished or property and access roads overgrown with abandoned vehicles lying about. A good tactic may be to buy a property that already has a well, power to the lot line, fencing, sheds, barns, etc. Might be easier than starting from scratch.

      • Those do help, if you can find them, and depending on local regulations.

Some places assume unused wells or septic expire, or require upgrades to newer standardized

  4. Way to open, and there is nowhere that someone (at least one person) can’t find you.
There are more people than you’d expect in “empty” parts of the West and fewer people than you’d expect in some “populated” parts of the East.

It all comes down to location. Having lived in the desert, one of my criteria is trees, both for fuel and for privacy.
Another is rain, for trees and for less watering of crops.

  5. When we were searching for our property we met w/ a few realtors. I used the same line on every one, to gauge their suitability. All but one failed.
“When I say I want a rural property, what I mean is, I never will, but if I wanted to, I could cut my lawn naked.”
