It’s like Wild Kingdom up there. This visitor appears to be a coyote, seems kinda skinny for a wolf, but I’m no biologist……

I’m not an expert, but I always thought coyotes had relatively big ears compared to their body size, and longer-looking legs. Granted, I don’t live near where this photo was taken, and the angle isn’t ideal, but I do know what the local ‘yotes look like where I am at. It just might be a wolf!
Could be a Wolf but also could be a neighbor’s German Shepherd. Maybe it will show itself again for a better picture to include its facial features. Otherwise, we will have to chalk it up as mystery under Cryptozoology along with Bigfoot. lol

Wolf.
They are up there. It’s something else to hear one howl. It shuts the coyotes right up.
Yup. They wanted to establish 50 breeding pair in the Lolo NF, now I hear there are 50 packs.
It’s not Wild Kingdom without Marlin Perkins!

Possibly a hybrid.
A wolf that small wouldn’t likely be traveling solo. Coyote.
