Article – Democrats Plan to Pursue Most Aggressive Gun-Control Legislation in Decades

The Democrats apparently are going to try and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory:

WASHINGTON—Democrats say they will pass the most aggressive gun-control legislation in decades when they become the House majority in January, plans they renewed this week in the aftermath of a mass killing in a California bar.

Their efforts will be spurred by an incoming class of pro-gun-control lawmakers who scored big in Tuesday’s midterm elections, although any measure would likely meet stiff resistance in the GOP-controlled Senate.

Democrats ousted at least 15 House Republicans with “A” National Rifle Association ratings, while the candidates elected to replace them all scored an “F” NRA rating.

  1. If democrats want to squander their meager new political power on pushing new gun control measures, I say “let them”.

The American people have spoken – they love 2A. Some democrats understand that, but most don’t.

  2. Just when I thought American politics COULDN’T get more scr*wed up, the Dimocrats had to prove me wrong…

  3. Fortunately, it won’t pass the Senate and certainly won’t survive Trump’s veto. I’ll be working a gun show for my club in Hampton VA Thanksgiving day weekend, it will interesting to see how crowded it gets. I worked a table last month in Virginia Beach for my other club and it was lightly attended.

  4. well i bet, California Tester will bring about this anti gun message, forward to the people. the Green Party will be on the ballet next time around and the Dem’s will lose MT. the only reason the sued them out of the election, signatures my white ass. it was fear of divided liberal base. L’s took enough votes to win it is now or never for them. look at Missoula, They have a set a precedent law. Bullock has already thrown in his Anti-2A hat.

  5. We knew it was too good to last…ammo a plenty…cheap ARs…30 round mags…60 round drums…freedom…

  6. I have not decided what to stock up on. I have tons of AR mags and more than enough rifles.

But with new AR’s selling for $299.99 it’s hard to not buy at least one to put up.

  7. These idiots don’t have any idea what they’re doing. Every time the Left’s verbal vomit includes “gun” control, people stock up. The more the left pushes “gun” control, the more impossible it gets. That’s a good thing…

  8. Currently, the excellent D&H 30-round AR15 magazines are $7 each at Palmetto State Armory. Lower receivers are as little as $35 (Andersons, at Brownells). BCGs for $80 (PSA). Decent lower build kits are $80 at PSA — though they were $70 just a week or two ago.

If you haven’t bought sufficient parts and gear to outfit your grandkids, what the hell are you waiting for?

“Black Friday” prices can’t get much better. There’s little immediate political risk, so waiting a few days probably is safe enough. But who knows what lunacy the Democrats will try after January 2019? They’re not likely to get anything passed into law, but recall just what the Panic of 2012 did: jacked-up prices and limited availability for at least a year afterwards, and it’s only been in the last few months that .22 LR ammo availability became reliable.
