Ok then

Literally the front page of todays local newspaper:

I have no problem with anyone being a Socialist…or a Communist. Or a Democrat, Muslim, Nationalist, Racist, Sexist, or any other affiliation or belief. After all, you are a sovereign individual and can believe whatever you want. I have no right to tell anyone what to believe in the privacy of their own skull. It’s when you try to impose those beliefs on those who don’t share them…..well, thats when the violence starts. You wanna be a Socialist, go be a Socialist. Get all your Socialist buddies, set up your Socialist commune, and live your Socialist lives. Just don’t force me to live by how you think I should live. And that goes for politics, religion, etc. Ron Paul summed it up nicely as such….

So, no…I don’t think you should shoot people for being Socialists. I think you should shoot people for trying to force Socialism onto people who don’t want it.

  1. if that is the Missoulian, I will take it with a grain of salt. same paper that does not report on the Missoula heroin epidemic. listen to the police scanner, 3-8 calls per day, people passed out in car. literately the other day, deputy said on air, I told them not to drive they are high on heroin. I’m betting the Mayor does not want bad press or more crime reports… drives down business and home buyers. same with homeless, up to 10 ems calls a day to the pov center…guess who is paying for those. big city living in a small city…

  2. Now, do you follow the belief of the Sovereign Citizen movement, or do you imply it in a different way when you refer to being a sovereign individual? Not an attack just curious!

    • “Sovereignty is the full right and power of a governing body over itself, without any interference from outside sources or bodies.”
On an individual basis, each person is sovereign in the sense that they should be able to think or believe whatever they want. It is my position that no one has the authority to tell you how to think or what to believe in provided that those beliefs don’t impinge on other people. In other words, no one has the right to tell you to be not to be [insert unpopular belief here] as long as those beliefs are not forced upon others.

      • Do you believe in the U.S. Constitution as the law of the land? I personally believe others rights stop where mine began and vice versa. I am not sure constructional rule of law and sovereignty of oneself can coexist. Maybe I am just misreading your response!

        • You are misreading. I wasnt planning on putting this much brainpower into this particular blog post, but my point is that I think everyone has the fundamental right to believe whatever they want, and that no one has the right to try to force someone to believe/disbelieve. As long as your crap stays in your backyard, I don’t care what you do in your backyard.

    • I think you need to mind the punctuation; he’s talking small-s sovereign and not big-S Sovereign.

  3. Regrettably, ‘socialism’ is not something that resides only in the cranium. It has, by definition, external requirements. It demands that you, the Muslim next door, the gay guy upstairs, your grandmother, and everyone else participate. Those who are “insufficiently enthusiastic” about the program find themselves in a new category..

    • If youre not enthusiastic about the program, youre gonna be REALLY unenthusiastic about the pogrom.

  4. Who said about socialism “you can vote yourself into it but you have to shoot your way out”

  5. As a conservative rancher in Yellowstone county I’m happy that Rep Garcia has made his intentions known in the liberal enclaves of western Montana.

    Saving us easterners ammo.

  6. As an American first, Conservative second, Republican third, the guy is giving us a bad reputation. Remember all are equal before the law, not some.
This guy should be challenged in a primary. I don’t know the rules, but if some one was like that in Maine, he would face a challenger.

      • Regrettably Snow. No challenges this year . The South controls most of the state. We’re working hard to oust the democratic representative He lost but proportional voting he won Don’t ask me how or why. I am still shaking my head

  7. If we don’t want attention then we shouldn’t talk about shooting anyone.

And with things like the TSA, civil forfeiture laws, stop and frisk, gov.com listening in on nearly everything, and taxes up the wazoo, people in the US are far from being free and it’s getting worse.

  8. Socialism, a mere step on the way to Communism as admitted by the more recent “founders” and all true adherents of that ancient ideology, is: utopian, eschatologic, ruthless, implacable, intolerant, exclusive, and satanic. The path leads only one way, and everyone on it will eventually reach the milestone where violence must be done…or leave the path. Of course, many do not need to do that violence themselves but they profit from that done by others; so it becomes difficult to measure the amount of guilt in the individual involved. Damnation and Redemption both come with varying rewards…
