Better pack pre-filter material And a container with you and not have any health issues Trying to get water out of this.
Personally I say get any other type of hiking filter — one uses gravity is best IMHO. For a throw it in as a secondary, sure, but as with anything you’ll depend on try it first.
Be aware most of these types of filters can’t be frozen once used. I’ve communicated with Sawyer on theirs and attenpted to use the lifestraw a few years ago.
One note, remember NONE of these without activated carbon filter any chemicals — such as in flood waters.
